My Online Master’s Degree
By cCola on Mar 22, 2008 in Master Degrees
I’ve been thinking about getting my master’s degree online.
I went to a traditional 4-year college to get my bachelor’s, but took pretty much every online class I could that counted toward my degree (and even a few that did not). I loved online classes because they required less time and little or no set schedule.
So I’ve been thinking about enrolling in a 100% online master’s program. It’s a tough decision, because there is such a stigma against online programs — though the more I look, the more I can’t see why. The school is a good traditional college that just happens to offer online programs as well. If you look at the online education overview, you see that the programs are just as high-quality as the traditional campus programs.
In the online education history, many early online schools weren’t of the same quality as traditional schools. As technology has advanced, though, so has the capabilities of online education. Online classrooms are now more interactive, and teachers and schools are perfecting their programs to ensure the same degree of quality.
You know what? I think I’m going to go for it — just as soon as I can figure out how to pay for it, of course!
