MFA from a Photography School

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Degree is increasingly popular among art students in many fields. As more and more programs have opened up which lead to careers in art, the creative job market has gotten highly competitive. The MFA offers art students a leg up in that competitive market by providing a stronger foundation in the general arts while offering a more in-depth education in a specific area of art.
The main benefit to getting an MFA is that it provides the student with a stronger work history in the creative field. The MFA includes internship opportunities that Bachelors Degree students don’t always have the chance to obtain. It also offers classes which are specifically designed to create a portfolio of work that students can use to get jobs after graduation.
For example, an MFA student at Brooks Institute photography school will be able to get internships with mentor photographers who wouldn’t sacrifice their time for the average Bachelors Degree student. They will also spend their time at Brooks Institute broadening their photography portfolio. In this way, they leave photography school as a much stronger candidate for any job that they might attempt to get. Additionally, the extra two years spent in school will give these students a stronger sense of their creative selves.
